Camp Quality is led by a Board of Directors, all of whom are responsible for initiating program growth, camp expansion and providing ongoing support and stewardship for programs throughout Canada, consistent with the Camp Quality philosophy, standards and policies to support children with cancer and their families.

The current members of the Board are:

CQ-President Barbara Hejduk, President
Barbara joined the board in May 2007.  She is a lawyer and was previously the head of the Imperial Oil Foundation.  She retired from Imperial at the end of 2005 and now serves on several non-profit boards. She is a member of the Organizational Effectiveness and Fundraising Committees of the Camp Quality board and is very excited to be part of the team.
CQ-Nolan Kathy Nolan-Garner, Vice President
Kathy joined the board in 2008. She is an accountant and was previously a financial process improvement specialist. She retired from Imperial Oil in 2005, and has continued her career by providing controllership services to several companies including several not-for-profit organizations. She also serves on the board of L’Arche Daybreak. She is a member of the Finance Committee of the Camp Quality board and is looking forward to working with everyone at Camp Quality Canada.
CQ-Treasurer Bob Kennedy, Treasurer
Bob joined the board in 1992 as Board Treasurer and has seen Camp Quality grow from two to six camps. Bob has been responsible for standardizing accounting programs for all camps and the Board. He has followed founder Vera Entwistle's personal guidance to provide Camp leaders with controls using Camp Comparison Reports. At present, Bob is Chair of the Audit & Finance Committee.
Sylvia Jurys, Secretary
Sylvia has been involved with Camp Quality since 1995 when she first visited the Southern Ontario Camp with Trumpets, a cuddly mascot that delighted the campers.  From that day she was committed to the philosophy of Camp Quality to bring fun and laughter to kids living with cancer.  Sylvia joined the Board in 2000 and brings business, purchasing and food services experience to the board. She is a graduate of Le Cordon Blue, Paris, so can make good cookies!  She is the board secretary and a member of the organizational effectiveness committee.
 

Don LeFeuvre
Don was a member of the founding committee which brought Camp Quality to Canada in 1987. He was the lawyer who incorporated Camp Quality Canada and arranged for its registered trademark in 1980, and he has served on the Board of Directors ever since. He was president from 1993 to 2001. Don brings to the board of directors historical perspective and background experience, particularly related to camp policies and procedures. He chairs the Organizational Effectiveness Committee.

 
John Mathers
John joined the Camp Quality Board in 1998 when he was with Imperial Oil Ltd. and also a member of its charitable foundation. He currently owns a cost management consulting firm and brings his varied business skills to CQ. John is also a member of the Finance/Audit and Fundraising Committees.
CQ-Managing Director of Tunder Bay

Clara Butikofer
Clara is currently the Managing Director of the Leadership Thunder Bay program and an employee of the Volunteer Thunder Bay Centre. She has indicated a background of volunteerism throughout her life. Throughout her formative years she was involved in 4-H, Girl Guides, student council, and organizing children's recreation programs. As an adult she volunteered in several different capacities for Girl Guides of Canada, Special Olympics, The Terry Fox Run events, Project Love, Jump Rope for Heart and many more.  Clara also served as the director for Camp Quality Northwestern Ontario

Her active role in volunteerism indicates that she understands the needs of the community and active engagement. Clara Butikofer is delighted to be serving on the National Board of Camp Quality.
Anshu

Anshu Grover
Anshu joined the Board in 2006 and has been actively involved in volunteer activities since she was a student in high school. Anshu is a Senior Manager in the Assurance and Advisory practice of Deloitte and brings to the Board extensive knowledge of, and experience with, financial accounting and management budgeting and controls processes and corporate governance. She is currently a member of the Audit and Finance Committee.

Anshu is deeply devoted to Camp Quality's mission and ideals due to her own personal experiences with cancer affecting the lives of loved ones.

CQ-Curry

Alan Curry
Alan was born and raised in England, and began his association with charities for cancer victims at an early age. He was actively involved in raising funds for ACORNS hospice, a children’s hospice organisation. After moving to Canada in August 2003 and whilst working for HSBC Bank as Chief Operating Officer, Alan assisted the Junior Achievement organisation. Alan is now semi retired but brings with him extensive experience in Audit, Finance, Risk, Compensation, and Project Management.

CQ-Vittoria

Vittoria Varalli
Vittoria joined the Board in 2010. She currently holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree and is completing her law degree at Osgoode Hall. She has been an active volunteer since high school and while at Wilfrid Laurier University she spent some time as the Public Relations Executive of the Shinerama Committee. As a member of this committee she was responsible for helping to coordinate the largest student-run fundraising campaign in Canada. Vittoria joins the Board as Chair of the Fundraising/Marketing Committee and is devoted to ensuring that Camp Quality has the financial resources necessary to continue to positively affect the lives of children battling cancer.

CQ-Isabelle

Isabelle Sjoberg
Isabelle joined the board in 2010 after being involved with Camp Quality in Ottawa for several years. Isabelle has been a Pediatric Interlink Community Nurse for the past 5 years, and coordinates care for children and teens and their families through the childhood cancer experience. She has worked extensively in the field as research nurse, educator and clinical nurse for about 20 years in Canada, the US and abroad. She hopes to assist in the continued expansion of Camp Quality programs and contribute to the ongoing positive impact they have on the childhood cancer population.
