Our Story
Camp Quality was founded in Australia in 1983 by Vera Entwistle. Vera's mission was to provide a program of support for children with cancer and their families, an area not being addressed by any other service clubs or charitable organizations.

In 1988, Camp Quality was brought to Canada. It was initiated by a group of dedicated volunteers in Southern Ontario with the first camp being held in Priceville, Ontario. Since then, Camp Quality has expanded to six locations across Canada, and we continue to grow today!

Our Name
While Vera was trying to come up with a name for her new camp, a doctor said to her, “No one can do anything about the quantity of life, but we all can do something about the quality." It really does describe perfectly what we deliver to each child: a quality time with quality people who present a quality program.

Our Logo & Tagline
To Vera, the hot air balloon represented what she hoped to do: lift up the children so they could have a better view of the world and return them to their world with more courage and a greater sense of hope. Our tagline, “Lifting the spirits of children with cancer!” further emphasizes Vera's hope and our goals at Camp Quality Canada.
