Message from the director

Howdy. It is my pleasure to return to Camp Quality Alberta for 2010. I have been with CQ Alberta for several years and can’t express how much this organization means to me. We had a fabulous 2009 week at camp with “The Olympics” theme and look forward to topping it next summer. We will be cheering for Mellisa Hollingsworth at Vancouver 2010 who visited our campers and hopes to repeat her Turin medal showing.

We traditionally host our camp the third week of August at Camp Kannawin on Sylvan Lake. We only usually take one day trip since we bring so many fun activities right to our camp. Archery, Tae Kwon Do, outdoor movies, trampolines, magicians, and swimming in the lake are only a few of the things we did last summer and hope to do more next year.

It is hard to explain the camping experience. The campers and companions are so much fun and so inspirational. The quality of people that come to camp is second to none and everyone should experience it. The lifelong friendships and year-round support is what keeps sucking me back in.

We are currently planning our winter reunion for the start of February to be held right at Camp Kannawin. I can hardly wait to be reunited with everyone! Hope to see you there.
