Message from the director
Hello Everyone,
I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Gladys Berringer and I am thrilled to be the new Camp Director for NWO. I joined Camp Quality as the Craft Shack Coordinator five years ago and have not looked back. Wanting to get more involved, I became the Assistant Director last year and have now stepped in to replace Paula as the new Director for this year.
There are many reasons one would be a volunteer for Camp Quality, but foremost in my mind is the AWESOME campers we have the pleasure of working with. They continually inspire and motivate me on a daily basis. To this you add a dynamic team of volunteers who fill the various positions to ensure that everything goes smoothly at camp and all year through and you have a winning combination.
We are just recovering from our Winter Reunion where we enjoyed a weekend of fun activities, including rock climbing at Lakehead University, bowling at Fun factor and downhill skiing and tubing at Loch Lomond. For those not up to the physical activities, back at the hotel they could swim or do crafts. Later in the afternoon, everyone could be pampered with a massage, getting your hair and nails done for the Hollywood Dinner Gala. The highlight of course is the release of our Camp Video which highlights all the fun activities that happened during our summer camp last year. What a perfect way to reconnect and reminisce!!!
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Linda Tyson who will be assuming the position of Assistant Director. Linda is busy planning a spring cluster camp that will be announced shortly. Please stay tuned for this upcoming event.
Now it is time to set our sights on summer. We are beginning the planning and as usual will have an incredibly awesome week of activities planned. If you are interested in being a part of a volunteer experience that will change your life forever, then Camp Quality is for you!!!
Please feel free to call anytime for more information.
Thanks,
Gladys Camp Director
